Sometimes an idea comes along that's your for the taking.

It happens from time to time, someone says out of the blue, "I wish someone would invent..."

One day 998 of those someones came at once in the form of Six Month MBA, an idea set up by Seth Godin. Things like this don't come up all that often.

For Seth Godin's Alternative MBA program, this week the nine of us came up with 111 business ideas each. But ideas are only valuable when someone (like you) makes something happen.

That last line is so true, so I had a look at the list and picked #138.

I could have gone for a Java web app or a PHP one but I decided to make OneForTen a good excuse to learn a new language and put some new tools in my belt. So in 24 hours I had my first working Ruby On Rails application.

One idea and two excellent results.
